's Letter
Dear host family,
I’m really happy to introduce myself to you. First of all, I would like to thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to be part of your family and for welcoming me into your home. I’m a friendly and open person who likes to learn about different cultures and meet new people. I enjoy working out, watching movies and spending time with my friends. I also love listening to music, especially R&B. I am very interested in fashion, and I really care about dressing well. I’m a good listener and always try to be respectful and kind to others. I’m really excited to be part of your family and share experiences with you. I enjoy being in lively environments and being around people and exploring new places. I’m also looking forward to learning more about your traditions and everyday life. I am going to the gym 4-5 times a week and I try to eat as healthy as possible. Why did I start going to the gym ? Well, after I quit soccer I was not really doing anything sportive, so I started going to the gym with my friend and I really liked it. It quickly became a routine to me. I am a Christian, but not very strictly religious. However, I wouldn’t mind going to church once a month.
I often go out with my friends, just chilling around the city and chatting. My favourite subjects are English, History, and PE. I’ve heard many good things about the food at Raising Cane’s from other exchange students on TikTok and Instagram, so I want to try it when I am in the USA.
I like trying new things, so I’m excited to try new activities, and things that are important to your family. I think good communication is important, and I will try my best to understand and respect your rules and routine. My English isn’t perfect yet, so there might be situations where I’ll need some help. But I’m confident that after a few months, I’ll improve a lot.
I’m really looking forward to meeting you and becoming part of your family. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter! See you soon!
Best wishes,
Gianluca Brucculeri
