Dear Host Family, Hello! My name is Simon, and I’m excited to introduce myself to you. I’ve always loved traveling—everything about it. I enjoy meeting new people, learning about different cultures, exploring new places, and experiencing the beauty the world has to offer. For me, travel is a way to not only see new sights but also to gain new perspectives and understand the world better. One of my biggest passions is music. I listen to it while enjoying my hobbies, studying, or even just relaxing. Music has a way of connecting me to different emotions and experiences, and I really value how it can bring people together, no matter where they are from. Sports play an important role in my life as well. I’m an active person and enjoy swimming and playing basketball in local sports clubs. I especially love swimming at beautiful beaches, like those in California, where the ocean makes the experience even more special. I also stay in shape by doing regular workouts, with a focus on cardio, like running. I find that being active not only keeps me healthy but also helps me stay mentally sharp and focused. I’m a calm and motivated person who loves experiencing new things in life. While I enjoy spending time with my friends, I truly believe that nothing beats a good day spent with my family. Family time is very important to me, as it’s where I find the most support and comfort. Even though I’m very independent, I cherish the moments we share together. I’ve always been a curious person. I like to ask questions and understand how things work—whether it’s how a machine functions, why people think the way they do, or what’s going on in the world. This curiosity drives me to always keep learning and exploring new ideas. I feel that understanding different perspectives is key to growing as a person. I have an older sister who is 14 years older than me and a brother who is 2 years older. While we are all very close, I sometimes wish I had a sister closer to my own age. I think it would be helpful to have someone around my age to share experiences with and who could help me understand how people with different mindsets think. I feel that having those kinds of relationships can help you see the world from another person’s point of view, which is something I really value. In my life, I’ve come to realize that discipline is one of the most important qualities to have. There are times when motivation is hard to find, but I’ve learned that pushing through and doing things anyway is an essential skill. Whether it’s in my sports, school, or other responsibilities, I know that with enough discipline and willpower, almost anything is achievable. It’s not always easy, but I believe it’s the key to success. Additionally, I’m a huge fan of sports cars! I find their design and performance fascinating, and I love learning more about them in my free time. I’m confident that living with your family will be a rewarding experience for both of us.
