Dear Host Family, Hello, I hope you’re doing well! My name is Tsetsengun, I’m from Mongolia. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my letter and considering me as a potential member of your family through EDEX Education and Exchange Agency. I want to exchange our countries' cultures with each other. About my advantages, I have time management skills, I can easily adapt to new places, also I can get up so early on myself, I’m a helpful and patient person. When I fill water to the bucket but the bucket has a hole, so I always keep filling it just like that I always sit at the desk for many hours for doing my works, and I’m like a sponge, soaking up knowledge fast, but it slips away just as quickly because I learn new things so quickly but also fast to forget that new knowledge, those are my weaknesses. My goal is to be a politician, because I want to improve Mongolia. When I was 12 years old, I went to the Philippines with other kids to learn English. The kids weren’t the same age as me, they were all older than me, so they started bullying me. Then I first told my parents, and they helped me solve the problem. But it wasn’t over, so I showed them I’m not a person who gets bullied. In the last 2 years I went to an English camp. Firstly I thought it would be easy, just be polite to everybody, but it wasn’t, some of the kids were mean to me. That was not as I expected. So I understood that everyone is not the same. I am interested in playing sports with my friends usually play soccer, basketball, and volleyball. In my free time, I like to play video games and also watch on my phone. My hobby is solving Rubik's Cube, it’s really interesting and fun. Playing sports and solving Rubik’s cubes are very helpful for my life, for example, these things require fast reaction and move also fast thinking will also help in special moments of my life. When I come to America, except for learning English, I would like to join a soccer team in the local area. My favorite traditional culture is Tsagaan Sar. It’s Mongolian one of the oldest traditional cultures, in English it’s called Lunar Year, same as China. On Tsagaan Sar, we always visit grandparents and other people who are older than my parents. On this holiday, we eat buuz, one of the Mongolian traditional foods. I like buuz, but I prefer steak, because my favorite food is “Steak”. In my home, I live with my family, including my parents, brother, and sister. My siblings are all younger than me. This family’s main motor is my parents because they were always trying their best to take care of this family, and my siblings are the happiness of this family. I love this family reason is that everybody is always trying their best for this relationship, especially our parents. Once again, thank you so much for taking the time to read my letter.
