Khajidsuren

's Letter

Dear host family, My name is Khajidsuren. I would like to send my greetings to the host family I will be visiting. I believe my biggest strengths are being persistent, and eager to learn new things. When I start something, I do not like to leave it unfinished. I always try to be responsible in everything I do. Another strength of mine is that I learn quickly. Gaining new knowledge and skills is always interesting to me. However, I also have weaknesses. Sometimes, I focus too much on one thing and try to do many tasks at the same time, which makes me feel tired. Also, I often try to be too perfect and set high expectations for myself, which causes unnecessary strength. But I work hard to turn these weaknesses into strengths. One of the biggest challenges in my life was participating in school competitions. I was very nervous because it was my first time speaking in front of a large audience. However, I practiced a lot and built confidence and in the end, I succeeded. From this experience, I learned that preparation is the most important thing. In my free time, I like playing basketball, listening to music, relaxing, and enjoying nature. Music has taught me about friendship, love, family, and determination. As for the food, I love traditional Mongolian dishes such as khuushuur, buuz, and tsuivan. My father's side of the family values celebrations and special occasions together. For example, Mongolian Lunar New Year, New Year's Eve, and Naadam, every moment is very special to me. There are five members in my family. My father is a truck driver and my mother is an accountant. I'm the eldest child. My younger sibling goes to kindergarten. As a family, we love going out, watching movies, and playing together. Each family has their own unique personality. My dad knows and can do many things so we all learn from him. My mother is calm and takes care of everyone in our family, so I look up to her. My middle sibling is very curious always asks questions, and tries new things. My youngest sibling is cheerful and always makes us laugh. During summer, we love traveling to the Mongolian country countryside and enjoying nature. It is one of our favorite things to do. Thank you very much for reading my letter. I hope this gives you a little idea about my life, dreams, and family. Throughout my life, I have tried to improve myself, learn new things, and become a better person. I believe everyone has strengths and weaknesses but the most important thing is to keep learning and never give up on our dreams. My English is not perfect but I'm still learning. I am writing this letter because I want to go to the United States for a cultural exchange program. Sincerely, Khajidsuren (Hanna)
