Elia
's Letter
Helloo, future family, Elia writes to you or as my closest friends call me Eli.
I am very excited to live a new experience and learn a lot about new people, cities, and customs. I must admit that I am a little scared of leaving my comfort zone, but I consider myself very capable of adapting to new things. I want to tell you that I am very attached to my family, which has made me a very homely person. I love going to the movies and hanging out with them. This is related to the fact that I do not like to be alone. I really like to be with people, spending time with them even if it is doing the simplest thing. Today I only live with my parents since my brothers have already left the nest and are away looking to fulfill their dreams. This has affected me a lot because I enjoy their company. This made me get closer to my friends or currently my family by choice, we are a very close group to the point of being a family, apart from seeing each other at school, we love to get together on the weekends and hang out, playing whatever, or cooking, dancing, eating and watching movies, it is a part of my life that I will miss too much. My paternal grandparents live around the corner from my house so we visit them every afternoon and I enjoy that a lot.
I have always been a very independent girl in the sense that I knew and know my responsibilities and obligations at home, such as clean my room, doing my homework, helping my parents.
I really like artistic activities, such as singing, theater, cinema, dancing, aerial dance.
I love helping people when they need it, I feel that since I was little I have had that instinct to be there for whoever needs it, it's like I like to solve things Haha, I really enjoy working in a team and organizing the role that each one takes, you could say that I take the role of a leader, organizing to obtain a result with which we are all happy.
My parents have raised me with the purest and most wonderful love, they have taught me what it means to value every detail of life, I have learned that we are not always going to be at the top, there will be times where we will be down, but the important thing is that when we fall we always look for a way to get up, they raised me with the ideal of "giving without expecting anything in return and that everything I decide to do, say or give is with the heart." During my life I have had many times where I put this to the test and understood that there will not always be people in your life who value what you are or what you give as a person and that does not mean that they are bad people, they simply look for or expect other things from people, however people come into your life who teach us the beauty of loving, people who value every little piece of soul that you give them.
As a person I consider myself a little light, and I say this because without sounding egocentric, I consider that people always come to me when they need help, they look for a person who listens to them and does not judge them, and that is where I come in, I have the ability to listen, understand and be empathetic with people whenever they need it. They always tell me that I am a person who transmits a lot of confidence and joy, they ask me why I am always smiling and my answer is "just because you always see me happy does not mean that I am always happy, I simply want to make others feel happy with my company."
In my exchange year I would like to try to be in a musical play at school. I tell you that since I was little I have been in classes, contests, events, shows that are related to the artistic, the fact of expressing myself in different ways I consider it an incredible experience, feeling and enjoying every moment. As a child I participated in several plays where I got to represent characters such as an octopus, a rebellious girl, a tree, a doll, a bird, an angel, etc., characters from secondary to leading. In singing I got to perform in several events and contests. I must say that little by little I was leaving it aside until it became more of a hobby and I see this my opportunity to return to this experience in a new language.
I am eager to meet new people, I am a very friendly and sociable person so I am sure it will be easy for me to get involved.
There are still many things about me that cannot be written but it will be a pleasure to meet you and for you to get to know me.
I hope you are doing very well, future family!
