Dear Host Family, Thank you so much for being willing to participate in the exchange program and accepting me to live with your family. I am a German girl and am currently in high school. I like to learn about new things and I wanna see more of the world, including America. I want to learn about the culture and see how daily life is and how it is different from my life at home. I am a friendly person and I am quite outgoing but I can also be shy sometimes. I love to play the guitar and learn new songs from my favourite artists, photography, and watch movies, especially Marvel movies. I enjoy sports, such as going on walks swimming and playing badminton. Although I don't always have time to volunteer or help people in need, I use communication to spread awareness and in my school, I participate in our Fair-Trade club. I want to attend high school in the US because I believe that it will be a great experience to see how school works outside of Germany. I hope that it will allow me to try new things and get to know a different version of myself. My dad works at a printing company and my mom has an office job at a screw company. My younger sister is almost ten years younger than me and my brother is six years younger than me. This summer my sister will be in 1st grade and my brother in 4th grade. We are a close family and try to do as much together as possible. I often pick up my siblings from school and Kindergarten and play with them or watch movies with them. At school, I have two best friends that I always spend time with. We also meet outside of school and often have sleepovers where we do different activities together. In my school, I am also close to other people who I do school projects with or talk to during the breaks. For now, I am concentrating on graduating and after that, my dream is to study acting in the US. I want to act in movies and on stage.
