Dear Host Family, My name is Micaela, I’m 16 years old, and I live in Brazil. Before telling you a bit about myself, I’d like to thank you for this incredible opportunity you’re giving me. Live this year with your family in USA will be a dream coming true, and I’m so excited to learn about your culture and share a little bit of mine as well. I live with my mom and our two dogs. My mom and I love going to the mall to watch movies and eat, we also like to go to the gym, to the park, and go shopping together. On weekends, we always watch a movie on the TV while having dinner and eating our dessert, which is the same every weekend – a healthy cheesecake. On Sundays, I spend time with my dad, with him I like to play beach tennis, go to the club, watch Formula 1, eat at different restaurants, and explor new places. We’re usually very active on Sundays, but sometimes we just relax at home with popcorn and a good movie. Now, about me: I love to talk and share about my day. In my free time, I like to do my nails, take care of my hair and skin. I also enjoy to run and go to the gym, and I do these two things almost every day. During the week, I stick to a healthy and balanced diet, but on weekends, I love eating my favorite foods, usually with my dad or my friends. I like going out with my friends to the mall, parks, or new places. At home, I help my mom by walking our dogs, I usually clean up my room and bathroom, I cook my own meals and snacks I choose at the grocery store. I usually do my homework after I exercise at the gym. My favorite subjects at school are Geography and History because I really enjoy learning about different countries and cultures. I really love to travel. I’ve visited a few countries. My biggest dream is to visit as many countries as possible. I love discovering the culture and traditions of each place I visit and, of course, taking lots of pictures. I’m so excited to start this adventure! I know there will be challenges and difficult moments, but I’m more than ready to experience it all.
