Hello, dear host family, I hope you are doing great! My name is Matheus, but you can call me Matthew. I’m 16 years old, and I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on 03/20/2008. I am in high school, with an administration technician course. First of all, nothing better to introduce myself than presenting my routine: I wake up at 5:30 am and get ready to go to school, I take 2 buses to get there. After my classes I have lunch over there, and in sequence I go straight to my work (at a call center business). When I finish the working hours I come back home, around 7 pm. On weekends I really like to hangout with my friends, go out with my family, watch series, listen to music, go to concerts, travel, meet new places, I like to cook, go shopping, hiking and go to waterfalls, but I also do my homework from school and help my family to organize and clean the house. I have a huge family from both sides of my parents, but at my house is only me and my parents. I have an older brother but he is already married, we never lived together. I always wanted to have a brother or sister the same age as me, to do things together. I’m so excited to live this high school experience in the United States, because I would like to improve my English, be involved in a new culture, make new friends and acquire new experiences for my life. With this exchange program I am sure that I will have a lot of opportunities in the future. I went to Toronto, Canada, and stayed there for a month, for an exchange program, in an English course, but I know that an academic year exchange program at an American high school will be very different from my previous exchange experience and all the ones that I had in my life until now. Anyway, I have a little experience with a host family and living abroad, and I am very easy to adapt to people and places. I consider myself a respectful, calm and easy-going person.
