's Letter

Dear Host Family, Thank you so much for taking part in the exchange Program and for choosing me to live with your family. I am a German girl and at the moment I‘m completing my sophomore year in high school. I like to try new things and I want to explore the world. I speak German and a bit French, and I look forward to become fluent in English. I like to do things independently and create my own experiences and memories. I love all kind of animals that have up to four legs, but I have a very big fear of insects. I would say I am an open minded, caring, loyal and warm hearted person. It is particularly important to me that the people around me feel comfortable and are doing well and that no one in a group feels left out. I enjoy participating in sports, such as Tennis, Table Tennis, climbing and yoga. I have been playing Tennis since I was five years old, and it has become one of my favorite hobby’s. If possible, I would love to continue playing tennis during my time in America. It would be exciting to join a team or simply practice and improve my skills while I’m there. I am a very social and communicative person who enjoys connecting with others and doing fun activities together. I also enjoy cooking and baking. It‘s something that brings me joy, and I love trying out new recipes. I would be happy to cook or bake something for you and share some of my favorite dishes from my culture. I love spending time with my family and friends. My father is already retired, but he used to work as an engineer. My mother works for a biotechnology company, where she conducts research on cancer cells. I am excited to immerse myself in everyday life in the USA. I am particularly interested in school activities such as sports teams, theater groups, or student clubs. I am also looking forward to experiencing traditional celebrations like Thanksgiving or Halloween. I‘ve heard so much about these events and I think it would be exciting to celebrate them with you. Once again, thank you so much for welcoming me into your home and giving me the opportunity to experience an entirely new chapter in my life. I am really looking forward to meeting you and beginning this exciting adventure together. Hope to see you soon Lea.
