Hello, my future host family!
My name is Timur, and I am from Ukraine!
I hope I will have the opportunity to study and live with your family for a whole year. I am really looking forward to this chance to live with you and learn more about your culture, lifestyle, and traditions. I am very grateful that you are opening your home to me, and I hope we will have a wonderful year together.
A little about me: I am from Ukraine, but for the 2024-2025 academic year, I am living and studying at a technical college in Poland. I love my parents, my older sister, and my younger brother very much.
I prefer a healthy lifestyle, which means I do not smoke any type of cigarettes, neither regular nor electronic. I have a very negative attitude toward drugs and alcohol and do not use them.
I am independent and responsible.
I also love animals and get along well with them. I usually have no issues with cats, dogs, or even exotic pets, as I have spent almost my entire life surrounded by animals. Our oldest cat is already 13 years old, and over the years, he has become so intelligent that we are convinced he fully understands our language—and because of this, he can even argue with people!
I also get along well with children because I have a younger brother and have helped camp counselors at the summer camp "Forest Heroes" that I used to attend.
Even though I am not a big fan of sports, I try to stay in shape and remember what I was taught in kickboxing, which I practiced for several years.
In my free time, I prefer more relaxed activities—I don’t really enjoy going to parties. I don’t mind playing video games, but lately, I haven’t had much time for them. I enjoy spending time on my hobbies.
I am a non-confrontational person. I treat all people with respect—as long as they show the same respect to me.
I am very excited about this opportunity to study in the U.S. and become a part of your family. I want to learn more about American culture, improve my English, and make new friends.
I would love to learn more about you—what you enjoy, how you usually spend your time, and if you have any traditions or family habits. If you have any expectations from me, please let me know—I want to be a good family member during my stay with you.
Once again, thank you for this opportunity! I am really looking forward to meeting you!
