Celia
's Letter
Dear future host family,
If you are reading this letter, you may be considering hosting me as your abroad student.
I am excited to introduce myself and share a little bit about who I am.
My name is Celia, I am a 15 years old girl from Spain, and I am looking to spend a year abroad in the USA.
Let me begin by describing myself as a calm, kind, responsible, and well-mannered person.
I'm always ready to lend a helping hand. I can be a bit shy initially when meeting new people but my friends often describe me as fun-loving, entertaining, and most importantly, a reliable friend. I love to make people smile and laugh.
Some of my greatest hobbies are skiing and I love cooking.
I love dogs, specially my dog called Mico.
I have a really good relationship with my family. I'm so thankful for my parents . My brother and I, although we sometimes fight, get along with each other and are always there for each other.
I still enjoy spending quality time with my family. My favorite activity that we do together is skiing.
I also love spending time with my best friends, Irene and Alma. We love going to the movies together and graving a hamburguer afterwards (one of my favorite American things).
There are many things I would like to share with you about my culture, like Spanish food! I would love to share my new cooking skills with my future host family and prepare some typical Spanish food, like Spanish omelette or croquetas.
I am really looking forward to learning about your culture, especially after having seen a glimpse of it in movies and books!
Best regards,
Celia
