's Letter
Dear host family,
My name is Sergio. I live with my parents and my brother, whom I appreciate very much because he has taught me many things throughout my life. I get along very well with my entire family and we are very happy. My family is a little big because I have 11 uncles, 12 cousins and 2 grandparents. We all get along very well and we are a very fun family and I have a great time with them.
My school life is good since I have many friends at school and I get along quite well with the teachers. I always do my homework, I attend class and study at least 2 hours a day without counting homework.
My interests are sports and video games since I spend most of my free time doing these activities since I love them.
I have quite a few qualities since I am a responsible, obedient, happy and orderly boy. I am a very empathetic guy since I like to help people with the problems they have, since I put myself in other people's shoes a lot. Regarding my character, I am not a child who gets very angry, but certain things that do not seem right to me can bother me. I am very extroverted since I really like to learn new things, I am super sociable and I usually try to make friends.
I would really like to go on an exchange to the United States since I would like to learn a new culture and meet people from other countries. I am also excited to go since I would like to improve my level of English since it is a very important language to find a job. You can also make friends from other countries since many people speak English.
I have chosen the United States as my destination since it seems to me that there are quite a few very beautiful cities that I can visit. At the same time, in some parts of the United States there is snow, which there is not in Spain, and although there are also parts where it is warmer, I also love the pools or the beach. In general I like water. In my exchange next year I would like to know a lot about the culture that my host family has, such as: Typical food, their customs, tastes...
I hope that during my stay abroad I will learn many interesting things that I can use to tell my family, friends and people around me to recommend going on an exchange.
The things that I could contribute to my family would be to teach them customs of my country, typical foods, monuments, history and interesting background that occurred in Spain.
I could also talk to my schoolmates about interesting things about Spain and they would also like to learn our food culture...
To the family that welcomes me, I would like to thank them for placing their trust in choosing me among so many people who are part of this exchange program. It will be a pleasure for me to go with the family that would like to host me and I would appreciate it because they have been interested in my people and I can also contribute many things to them, at the same time that they will teach me traditions or will welcome me with their trust.
Thank you so much.
Best,
Sergio
