Hello,
I hope you are doing well!
I am very excited about the opportunity to have a unique experience by spending a year in the United States with a host family. This project is extremely important to me because it represents an incredible opportunity to discover a new country, a new language, and, most importantly, a new culture through daily life with my host family.
My parents have instilled in me essential values such as open-mindedness and curiosity, which I have further developed through many family trips. I have always had a deep desire to explore the world and enrich myself by learning from different cultures.
As a sociable and outgoing person, I quickly realized that the best way to learn and understand new things is by meeting and engaging with people from diverse backgrounds. I have also had the chance to grow up in a large family with two brothers—one older and one younger—and many cousins. This has taught me how to adapt, take care of younger children, and appreciate the dynamics of big families.
I am independent and know how to handle daily tasks. For example, I enjoy cooking and would be delighted to introduce you to French cuisine, a passion I share with my family. Additionally, I have a strong interest in geopolitics and history—two subjects that fascinate me and fuel my thirst for knowledge.
I grew up in an environment where education and intellectual curiosity were always encouraged. Because of this, I feel ready to take on new challenges, and living in the United States is one of them. This country inspires me a lot—it is vast, diverse, and full of endless opportunities.
My career goal is to become a perfume creator, a profession that, to me, combines both art and exploration. Mastering English is essential for this path since I plan to travel the world to find inspiration in scents and traditions unique to each country, allowing me to create one-of-a-kind fragrances.
Lastly, I am a dynamic and committed person. I love getting involved in projects that have a positive impact on others. Currently, I am an active member of four clubs:
A support club for people with learning differences such as dyslexia and ADHD, where we organize activities to help and support them;
A debate club, where we discuss current issues and organize debates with students from other schools;
A charity organization that raises funds and collects gifts for hospitalized children;
My high school newspaper, where I write articles on various topics.
I am a cheerful, curious, and enthusiastic girl, always ready to take on new challenges. I can't wait to share my culture, learn from you, and create unforgettable memories with your family.
I hope that during this adventure, I will be able to fully integrate into your family, share your daily life, and participate in activities together, especially during holidays and family outings. My cousin was lucky to be welcomed by a wonderful host family in the United States, and they have remained in contact—even visiting him in France. I would love to have a similarly enriching experience and build lasting relationships with you.
I also want to experience life as an American teenager by spending time with friends, going to the movies, or shopping downtown. I would love to join a sports team or a school club to fully immerse myself in student life and make this experience as authentic as possible.
Thank you for welcoming me and allowing me to experience this incredible adventure with you.
I look forward to meeting you!
