For my host family : My name is Sofia and I live in the south of Spain, on the Mediterranean coast. I have two brothers and a twin sister. My older brother is 17 years old, my twin sister is like me 15 years old and my younger brother is 13 years old, the four of us are very close and we do a lot of things together. I consider myself a very sporty person all my life I have done many sports, but currently I am playing tennis since 3 years ago. I go to a tennis club of which I am a member and which is 5 minutes walk from my house. During the week I go to tennis lessons and on weekends I usually play with my father who is very fond of tennis. Another sport that I usually practice and that I love is skiing I go every year to ski to a resort called Panticosa I always go with my family and friends of my family I usually ski with some friends, my sister and my cousin. Skiing is a sport that I love, that's why we also go sometimes to the Sierra Nevada ski resort which is a very well known ski resort in Spain. I would like to try more sports or activities that you do there with your family and friends. I really enjoy being at school because I have a very fun class and I don't usually have a hard time with the subjects. When I grow up I would like to study law and then I would like to study to become a notary public. One of the things I like about school is being with my friends because I have a lot of fun with them. I spend a lot of time with my family, we love to watch movies or series together after dinner. We also like to play board games. At home I help with routine chores like tidying the room, taking out the garbage, putting the dishwasher or setting the table. Every year we go on a trip with the whole family (uncles, aunts, cousins, grandma) .... I love these family moments doing different activities and getting to know new places. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do and I love getting to know new places, new cultures and meeting new people. For me a perfect day would be to visit a new city, go to the beach and finish the day watching a good movie with family or some friends. I love animals, especially dogs. At home we don't have a pet, but I would love to. Whenever I go to my aunt's house I like to play with her dog. My brothers and I try to convince my mother to have a dog at home, but it is hard to convince her because it is a big responsibility. I think I can bring a lot of good things for your family like teaching my customs, the language or the way of life of my country. I am a kind and loving person, I like to meet new people and make new friends. I would love to go back to Spain and have created such a special connection with my family in the United States that would last throughout the years and become my real American family. I have never been to the United States but I have always admired their country; their customs, their people, their way of life. My aunt had the opportunity to live this experience 30 years ago and is still in contact with her host family. She was the one who encouraged me to do all this. I decided to participate in this program because I think it will change my life completely, it will make me grow as a person, it will make me more mature and responsible and of course my English will improve a lot. I have great expectations because I want this experience to be unforgettable. I really thank you in advance for giving me this opportunity and for your hospitality.
