Dear Host Family,
I would like to start by sincerely thanking you for welcoming me into your home. I am very excited about the opportunity to spend a year in the United States and share my culture with you. It’s a wonderful chance for me not only to improve my English but also to experience new things and make many new friendships.
My name is Max , and I come from Germany. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer and snowboarding. These hobbies are important to me because they not only provide fun but also help me stay disciplined and work as part of a team. I’m excited to talk with you about sports and other interests we may share. Besides sports, I also love traveling because I enjoy learning about different cultures and discovering new ways of life. I’ve traveled quite a bit, both with my parents and on my own, and I’m looking forward to sharing those experiences with you.
My daily life in Germany is quite varied. During the week, I attend school, where I have many friends. I enjoy spending time with them, whether it’s through sports, activities, or simply chatting. My family is very important to me, and we often spend time together, whether it’s having a family meal or going on outings. I have a close relationship with my parents and brothers, and I truly value the support and understanding we give each other.
In the future, I plan to either pursue a career as a professional soccer player or become a teacher in Physical Education and English. I believe these two career paths fit my interests and skills because I am passionate about both sports and teaching, and I enjoy sharing knowledge and inspiring others.
I am looking forward to living with you and spending time in the United States. I want to integrate into your family as much as possible, learn about new traditions, and contribute to making our time together enjoyable. I’d love to know more about what you like to do in your free time, if you have any pets, and what life is like at home with you.
I’m sure we’ll have many interesting conversations, and I’m really looking forward to meeting you!
Best regards,
Max
