Dear Host Family, I am very excited to have the opportunity to live with you and experience life in the United States. I wanted to take a moment to share a little about myself, why I chose this exchange program, and what I am looking forward to during my stay. First of all, I would describe myself as a very caring and friendly person who is always eager to help others. I am a bit hyperactive and always full of energy, but I also know the importance of taking time to recharge, especially socially. I love spending time with my family and friends, but I also enjoy my own personal space to relax and regain energy. I have a good sense of humor, and I’m always ready to laugh and have fun with those around me. I decided to join this program because I believe it’s important to open myself up to the world and experience different cultures. While I’m not sure exactly why I chose the United States, I have had a strong connection with this country for a while now, and I’m excited to discover more about it. I think living with a host family is the best way to experience the real American way of life, share activities, and build lasting memories together. I am particularly interested in American traditions, holidays, and the way of life here. Back home, I live in a shared custody arrangement with my parents, so I spend time with each of them on alternate weeks. I’m close to my family, and we spend weekends together, often sharing meals and enjoying activities. I also practice cheerleading and spend a lot of time training, which is something I really love. In my free time, I enjoy watching Formula 1, soccer, and following American football. One of my main reasons for wanting to spend time in the U.S. is to improve my English and gain a deeper understanding of the world around me. I hope to pursue a career in communication, particularly in the world of motorsports, like Formula 1. I believe this experience will help me become more independent, and it will definitely help me with my future career because English is essential in this field. I’m also excited to explore more typical American sports, such as basketball, baseball, and American football. I would love to experience the American way of life, including the food, music, and overall culture. Thank you so much for welcoming me into your home.
