Dear Host Family, First of all, I would like to thank you very much for hosting me during my exchange year! I can’t wait to meet you! This journey means a lot to me because I have always wanted to experience studying in America while making new friends and spending time with my host family. I really look forward to making my dream come true. I hope you are you excited to learn more about me while sharing your culture and traditions with me 😊 My name is Alessandro, I live in Italy with my dad and my mom, and two older brothers. My parents are very kind and I love spending time them and with my brothers. I also have 3 little dogs. What about you? Do you have animals? Do you like spending time with your family? My friends say I’m cheerful, fun and they enjoy spending time with me because I know how to make people laugh but I’m also a good listener. I’m a bit shy at first, but once I become more comfortable, I become more sociable and open. I’m very reliable and active because I always want to do things and to try new experiences. I’m excited to share my energy with you! I’m passionate about cinema, and I believe it’s a good way to help broaden my knowledge. I love concerts, they make me feel alive, and singing songs out loud with others is a wonderful way for me to have fun. My favorite activity is traveling because it I find it very enriching. I also like playing any type of game, from video games to board games. I believe they’re good for socializing and spending good quality time with people. For example, I really like playing Taboo and Scrabble, I can’t wait to play them with you! Here in Italy, I don’t have much free time because I often have lots to study, but whenever I have the chance to, I usually hang out with my friends or visit some cities in Italy with my family. During a regular day in my life, I have lunch with my family at 1 pm and dinner at 8pm, but I heard that times are a bit different there. Is it really that different? We could cook some Italian dishes together. I would like to explore new places, see different landscapes, from big cities to smaller towns, from famous places to mountains or seaside. I just can’t wait to explore and try all the opportunities I’ll encounter! I hope to be able to meet some friends to hang out with and to talk to.
