Laura
's Letter
Hi, I am Laura and I'm from Spain. I live in a city with my parents, (Ana and Alex) and my two siblings, Sofia, who is 13 years old and Pablo, who is 9 years old.
I am an ordinary student. I am excited to live this experience firsthand, it will bring important growth and change in my life. I hope this year will help me to be more independent, and develop a stronger, more open-minded perspective of the world.
One of my main motivations for joining this program is to immerse myself in the American culture, which has always fascinated me. I have grown up watching American films and series, and I admire the traditions, values, and the way of life that you have. I am excited to experienc it in first hand, as I believe it will allow me to understand it in a deeper and more meaningful way.
In my daily life, I wake up at 7:15, I get ready and I go to school. My first class period at my school institute starts at 8:30 and ends at 14:30. After school I go home to eat, and next I participate in my extracurricular activities like voleyball and french classes two days a week. Every weekend I usually play voleyball matches and I go with my friends to have fun. Another thing that I love to do on the weekends is go to dinner at a restaurant with my family.
My great passion is to travel, learn about about new cultures, how people live in other places. The architecture of the places that aren't Spain... Another passion is make sport do hiking in the mountain, skiing in winter, swimming in summer, running, or play sports of teams, which I love.
FInally, I think it is a great experience for me and it helps me set an example of my parents of maturity and wanting to do what I like most.
See you soon.
Bye, Bye.
