's Letter

Dear Host Family, First of all, I would like to thank you for opening your home to me. I am really excited about the opportunity to live with you and experience your culture while sharing a little bit about mine. My name is Miguel, and I am an active person who enjoys doing a variety of things. I go to the gym every day except on weekends, and I like to hang out with my friends. Sometimes I go to skate parks to skateboard, visit the beach, or play the guitar. I also love going to the mall, spending time with my family, and attending every game of my favorite soccer team. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer with my friends, and occasionally, I play basketball as well. I also like riding my bike around my neighborhood—it’s one of my favorite ways to relax and stay active. I live in a very busy city in Brazil with many people. I often use public transportation—buses, subways, and trains—to get around the city. Not everyone in my city uses public transportation, but I’ve grown used to it and enjoy the independence it gives me. My parents trust me a lot, so when I ask to go out, they usually allow me to. Music is a big part of my life, and I love listening to it every day. I enjoy rap, especially artists like Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Marcelo D2, Sabotage, and Racionais MCs. Rock also has a special place in my heart, with my favorite band being Charlie Brown Jr., a Brazilian band. I also enjoy bands like System of a Down, Green Day, Nirvana, Blink-182, The Offspring, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Recently, I started practicing Muay Thai, which I do three times per week. It has been a great way to stay active and learn something new. As for food, my favorite meals are rice and chicken, and I can never say no to a good hamburger. I also really enjoy Japanese food and pizza! Thank you so much for considering me as part of your family. I am really looking forward to getting to know you all better, learning from your experiences, and sharing unforgettable moments together. I’m excited to learn more about your culture and contribute with my own background, all while building lifelong memories. I truly believe that this experience will be enriching for both of us, and I can’t wait to start this amazing journey with you.
