Dear host family, My name is Iris. I am very excited to be able to do this since it has been my dream for a very long time, and I would love to be part of your family the next school year. I would like to tell you about myself. I consider myself a very hard-working, nice person and I’m also a very empathetic person. In my free time I like to listen to music, read, spend time with my friends and family and I love going shopping. Since my dad is a chef I also love cooking and I hope someday I can cook for you too! I love trying new things such as visiting new countries and learning about different cultures. One of the things that excites me the most about being an exchange student is learning about your culture, and maybe I can show you some of the Spanish culture too, I could show you a part of the language and some of the habits we have here. I want to improve my English and to see how is living in another country for a very long time. I know it is going to be hard, but I’m really ready for it and I hope I will have a very good time there with you. I’m sure we’ll have a very good time together! I can’t wait to meet you.
