Dear Host Family, First, I would like to thank you for considering to be a part of your family during this amazing journey that we are going to experience. Let me introduce myself: my name is Sixtine, I am 16 years old (I know, that’s funny when you pronounce it). I live with my parents and my sister; my family is bigger than that. I have 3 brothers and one sister. I also include in my family my three maincoon cats, Moka, Zeus and Velma. Family life is very important to me. At home, we enjoy being around each other, we love playing boardgames and joking all day, and I believe these moments have taught me the value of communication, teamwork, and mutual respect. I am also very independent and responsible; I take part in household chores and enjoy helping others when needed. At school, I am a dedicated student with a passion for learning languages and new cultures. My favorite subjects are English (of course) and History, I also enjoy practicing sports as jogging and tennis. I take my studies seriously and always strive to give my best even if yes, it doesn’t always work but I can never give up on something. Outside of school, I like to spend my time with my friends or simply cozy time at my house, reading or playing the piano. These activities help me develop and work on myself. I would describe myself as open-minded, creative and joyful. I'm also caring and loyal. I enjoy meeting new people, discovering different perspectives, and learning about other cultures. This is one of the reasons why I am so excited to participate in this program. I believe it will be an amazing opportunity to discover new horizons, immerse myself in a new culture, and create meaningful connections. I chose the USA as my destination because I’ve always dreamt of living there, I also love American culture so much! I am particularly eager to discover few landmarks and to learn more on everything there such as the food your traditions and your history. I believe that living with a host family will provide a unique and authentic experience that cannot be achieved any other way. As a guest in your home, I hope to bring positivity, respect, and a willingness to adapt to your lifestyle. I look forward to sharing my own culture with you as well, whether through cooking a traditional dish, sharing stories about my country, or teaching you some words in my language. At school and in the community, I aim to be an active and respectful participant, contributing to the environment and making the most of this opportunity.
