Hello to my future host family, My name is Mika, and I’d like to introduce myself briefly in this letter. (P.S.: Please don’t be upset with me if I don’t know exactly how to write a letter like this, but I will definitely do my best! :) As I mentioned, my name is Mika, and I applied for a stay in the USA with Ayusa because I am very curious about what life is like in America. I can imagine that such a unique experience will have a lasting impact on my future. My family consists of my father (Dirk), my mother (Nadège), my sister (Smilla) and our two cats. My sister also participated in an exchange program in the USA. She was in Florida three years ago, and she really enjoyed her time there, which was another reason for me to want to do an exchange in the USA. I love playing sports. I played soccer for ten years, and recently I’ve started going to the gym with my friends. I think many people would describe me as very talkative because I love chatting about all kinds of topics. These topics are often politics, history, but also movies, series, or video games. (Although honestly, it’s pretty much everything I encounter in my daily life.) I'm also interested in fashion. I enjoy playing video games and spending time outdoors in my free time. When it comes to movies, I’m especially interested in films where actors have won Oscars for their exceptional performances. I find it fascinating how people can master a skill like acting so well.
