FRANCO
's Letter
Dear host family,
Thank you so much for been willing to participate in the exchange program and accepting me to live with your family.
I am a 16-year old Brazilian boy, my name is Franco. I have never traveled to another country, so I am really excited to do the exchange program and learn more about the culture in the US and how I will adapt away from my family.
I love sports, such as basketball and soccer, I like to watch all of this sports on the TV, including American football and Formula 1 racing, and I like to play videogames. I speak Portuguese, which is the language that we Brazilians speak.
One of my goals in the exchange program is to become fluent in English, and join my school's basketball team, and play soccer if possible, because I am 6'8'' and my height help me in sports, especially basketball. My dad is a Business Administrator, and he played soccer and baseball when he was younger, my mom is a full-time mother, and she is so careful, my little brother is 6 years younger than me and he is in the 4th grade. We are a close family so it will be so difficult for me to say goodbye to them.
I love the Brazilian culture and I would like to share about my country, for example, the festivals like Carnival and Festa Junina, and the soccer culture we have here and etc.
I am really excited to go to the exchange program and I believe I can have a lot of unforgettable moments with you and become a part of your family!
Warm regards,
Franco
