Hi, my name is Lorenzo. First of all I would like to thank you for the hospitality that you will give me for the next 10 months. It is really a dream that comes true to think of sharing so many moments with a new family and a different home. What do you like to do as a family? I’m very excited to think that we can build a strong bond and establish a fantastic relationship. Being part in such experience is really important for me. I have always been passionate about travelling and learning from new experiences. Furthermore I am interested in improving my skills in the English language because knowing languages, being open-minded is the key for a future job, especially in the field I am interested in, economics and business. I'm a sixteen- year-old from Italy and my family consists of 3 people and 2 dogs: my parents, Enrico and Alessia, me and my two dogs, Olivia and Ugo, Olivia that is a poodle and Ugo is a Dachshund. We are a really close family that although not often but we do activities together having fun. My dad is a great cook, he’s very good and has taught me how to cook. I always help my mum with housework because I think it is important to help her and make my contribution. My relationship with my parents is close, we often do things together that can be sport, travel, shopping or just have fun. I love the sea, personally I think that summer is the best season maybe for the weather, that in Italy is quite hot, and because I can spend a good time at the seaside with my family and friends. I love to play sports on the beach like beach soccer or beach volleyball with my friends or swim in the sea. I have another passion that is listening to music, I love it. I attend a school focused on scientific subjects like Math and Science, that I chose because I am very passionate about them. I have played soccer since I was 6 years old and when I was 14 I also tried to play tennis to learn something new and meet new people. Last year I restarted soccer and joined a new team. Most of my friends come from my soccer team but I’ve also another group of friends from my city or my class. We hang out every Saturday evening and sometimes also Friday afternoon, because my school is the only one in my city where there are no classes on Saturday. When we hang out we go to dinner in a place like “pizzeria”, that is where you eat pizza or in fast food restaurants. I think I am very sociable, funny and generous. I’m open-minded and I have an out-going personality. I love helping my friends out and making them laugh. I’m so excited to arrive to the U.S.A, meet you and start my American experience as an exchange student. Through this program, I hope to meet different cultures and new lifestyles and be able to adjust. Thank you for reading my letter.
