's Letter
Dear host family,
My name is Andrea currently I am coursing 11th grade and I would love to have the opportunity to do 12th grade in the United States of America. I love the idea of learning about a different culture, improving my English and getting out of my comfort zone to live an experience that, I am sure, will change me forever.
I live with my parents, Hortensia and Jose Carlos and my younger brother, Alejandro. For me family is the most important thing because I have grown up in a very big family environment in which we all love each other very much.
In my free time I like to cook, travel, spend time with my family and mostly do sports, specifically rhythmic gymnastics, that it's my passion , but I am also open to try any other sport or activity.
I consider myself a disciplined, kind, funny, empathetic and sweet girl. I love children and I currently work some days as a babysitter.
I have chosen the United States because I would like to learn the language better and get to know their cultures and festivities, such as Thanksgiving, since in my country it is not celebrated as big as it is there and it has always caught my attention. I have also chosen it because I have heard very good things about the people there and I feel that I will be very well received.
I think I would be the perfect candidate because I am very funny and talkative so it would never miss a topic of conversation with me. Also I am very active and willing to join any plan, wherever it may be, since what matters most is the company and not the place. I believe that an experience like this will allow me to grow as a person, meet new people, and learn to see the world from other perspectives and I would love to share a bit of my culture with the people there and be a good representative of my country.
I am willing to do my best to make the most of every moment and, if you choose me, I promise to give the best of me, I will help both at home and outside and I will not cause any trouble.
It doesn't matter if you are a big or small family, from a different culture than mine, with or without children, if you live in a city or in a village, I will be very grateful if you decide to host me.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read my letter.
Regards,
Andrea
