Emma
's Letter
Dear host family,
My name is Emma, I am French and I am very excited to spend a year in the United States as an exchange student. I would like to tell you a little more about myself so that you can get to know me better. I am an organized, dynamic, curious and full of energy person. I always like to take on new challenges and travel.
My passions are: cooking, music, and animals. I also like to discover the world, travel and learn new cultures. Sometimes I walk the SPA dogs with my grandmother, which allows me to spend time with animals and do me a favor. In my daily life, I attach great importance to my studies, but I also make sure to relax by sleeping a lot, which allows me to be well rested for my activities. I often talk to my friends, especially Louise and Violette, who are my best friends, and they occupy a very special place in my life. When I have homework, I take the time to do it seriously and in an organized way.
My family is very important to me. My parents, David and Emmanuelle, are winemakers and own a vineyard. From time to time, I help them in the vineyards or with the sale of wine. Then there is my half-brother, Jean-Baptiste, who is a banker and lives in Switzerland. I don't see him often. I also have a brother, Paul who is a videographer and a twin sister named Lucie. All three of us are very close.
I'm sometimes a little stubborn, which helps me achieve my goals. I can also be a little too perfectionist and have trouble letting go when I embark on a project.
I chose the United States and not another country because it has attracted me since I was little because we went on a Road trip when I was 6 years old, all 5 in 2015-2016 which lasted 8 months. We went around the states and a small part of Canada. All this in a motorhome. It was the best trip of my life. I loved all the states but especially California with Los Angeles, Florida with Miami, Illinois with Chicago, Louisiana with New Orleans and Massachusetts with Boston.
So I want to leave to improve my English and relive unforgettable moments in this beautiful country.
I hope we can share many pleasant moments together.
I thank you for your attention to my request and I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Emma
