Dear Host Family,
Thank you very much for accepting to participate in the exchange program and for accepting me to live with your family.
I am a French girl, more precisely a Corsican girl and I just finished my first year of high school. I like to try new things and I want to explore the world, including America. I want to know more about American culture and share your life.
I like to read, especially love stories. I am an outgoing, ambitious, creative, artistic, academic and fun person. I like to do sports, like Thai boxing for example. I speak only one language perfectly, French, as for English I am not bad but I am far from being bilingual, and I am looking forward to speaking English fluently; I also know the basics of Spanish that we study in high school.
I have been playing guitar for 6 years and I love it. I sometimes like to sing but only when I'm alone. I hope to continue music when I arrive in the United States through extracurricular activities or activities included in high school. I understand that I may not be able to continue certain activities when I arrive in the United States, so I would like to try other things and join school clubs.
My father is an occupational physician. My mother is the secretary of an association that allows elementary schools to have inexpensive books and activities. I have no brothers or sisters but I have a sense of family. I hope that I will be fully part of yours.
I think that cooking, fashion or even the language itself are beautiful things of French culture. I am happy to share the beauty of French culture with my host family. I can also share my knowledge of French music and even some characteristics of Corsica.
I am sure I will love my host family and have a wonderful year with you because you are an integral part of this fabulous experience. I believe I can also take great pictures and have unforgettable memories with you and my new friends in America. I would love to be part of your family!
Sincerely,
