Tsubasa
's Letter
Dear host family,
How are you doing these days? I am Tsubasa living in Japan.
I am excited and can't wait to go to your place.
We are a family of four. My parents, my elder sister, a dog and I are living together.
My family is really close and often go out together. We sometimes go to watch the Japanese professional basketball games. We also like to visit historical places and hot springs in Japan.
I have many friends at school and have a good time with them. I can get along well with people easily. I am looking forward to meeting a lot of people in the US.
When I stay at your place, I would like to talk with you and learn about US culture and local life. I will also tell you about Japanese culture. I would also like to cook with you. I would make Japanese dishes like Okonomiyaki, a Japanese pancake and Misoshiru, a Japanese traditional soup made with miso paste.
As I mentioned above, I have a dog. She is so cute and cheerful. I like playing with her. If you have dogs, I would like to walk and play with them.
I like playing guitar and would like to bring it if possible. I also go to Karaoke with my friends. If you play guitar, I'd like to learn from you and play guitar and sing with you.
I like listening to Japanese music, going for walks, stargazing, watching anime and movies, taking photos, and watching car videos on YouTube. I would like to talk about these things with my new friends.
I am looking forward to seeing a majestic landscape which I can not see in Japan because the US is a huge country.
Thank you for hosting me as a member of your family.
Looking forward to meeting you this summer.
Sincerely,
Tsubasa.
