Dear Host Family, I'm really happy and I thank you for deciding to let me live with your family. My name is Mia and I live in Germany. I love traveling and I want to see the world with their different cultures, like America. I am a creative, sportive, tolerant, fun-loving and open minded girl and I like cooking and baking. Soccer is one of my favorite hobbies, but I also enjoy workouts. I really love animals, except for spiders and I am able to go for a walk with a dog. In my school I have been learning French for three and a half years and Spanish for one and a half year. The first time I learned English was in the primary school, but I can’t speak English fluent and this is one of my goals. I have been playing soccer for three years now and it makes me happy. So, if there's a girl soccer team in my high school I would love to join. Otherwise it would be nice to be in a club outside of school but it isn’t necessary. I'm also interested in joining other school clubs. I want to live in the U.S. and go to a high school to experience the different culture and traditions. I want to make new friends and create memories which I will never forget. I am also excited to share my culture and traditions with you, for example, I can cook a German dinner or bake a traditional cake, like „Donauwelle“. I live together with my dad who works in a steel trading business and loves traveling just like me and my mom who works from home in the same business and likes cooking. They are always there for me and my little sister who is four years younger than me and enjoys gymnastics as well as drawing. We also have a dog who loves cuddles and playing with her ball. We are a close family and care for each other. I often go out with my friends after school. Usually we go shopping, yapping or go to the cinema but I also spend time in their houses. I have soccer training two times a week and every Saturday I have a match. It is always fun because I have a lot of friends in my team. First of all I want to do my A-Levels and after school I would really like to travel the world with one of my best friends. Then I want to study but I don’t know what to study yet. I hope that we can make unforgettable memories together and that I can learn as many traditions as possible. I would love to experience the culture and the school spirit and I will take a lot of photos that will remind me of everything I will see.
