Hello to the whole family, I’m really happy to be writing to what I hope will be my future family. As time goes by, I’m getting more and more excited to meet you. In this letter, I’d like to show you who I am and let you know that I’m someone you’ll be happy to welcome into your home and not someone you’ll want to avoid! I grew up with my parents, my step-parents, and my brother, who is two years older than me. Since I was little, I’ve loved trying new things and stepping out of my comfort zone. I adapt easily and enjoy change. So, what better than moving to another country to live a new adventure and meet people who, I hope, will become my second family? I’ve always loved sports. I started with gymnastics, which I enjoyed, but it wasn’t really for me. Then I did swimming for several years, but I wanted to try something new. Because I’m tall, I thought, why not basketball? I love team sports and physical contact, so it felt perfect! I’ve been playing basketball for 7 years now. Music is also a big part of my life. My dad is a guitarist, so music has always been around. My brother and I grew up with lots of instruments. We tried many of them before finding our passion for the drums. My brother stopped, but I kept playing. After 9 years of lessons, I stopped taking classes and started playing just for fun, doing concerts with songs I like. Now, I’ve started learning the guitar! But these are just a few things I love. I also really enjoy learning and doing well in school. I like to dive deep into anything that interests me. I love to cook too, and I would be happy to share some dishes from my country with you. My friend and I often bake cookies when we have time, and they’re always a hit with our families. If we meet, I’d love to make you some! I also enjoy doing all kinds of activities: skateboarding, surfing, biking, bowling, painting, volleyball, wakeboarding, tree climbing… And I like simple things too, like watching a good movie or singing and dancing, even if I’m not very good at it! I hope we’ll get to share many moments together and have some amazing experiences. I’m really looking forward to starting this new adventure with you!
