Dear Host Family, Thank you for participating in the exchange program and accepting me to live with you and your family. I am a French boy who just finished middle school. I love travelling and have been travelling ever since I could. This will be my first experience travelling alone and for such a long time, I can't wait to discover America and its culture. I'm a very athletic person, I love doing all kinds of sports, especially badminton. I am excited most of the time, extroverted and fun. I can speak French and English, and I am also learning Russian. I love pets, especially cats and always wanted one, but havent gotten any opportunity to adopt one yet. I've been playing trumpet for 3 years and steadily improving. I also started doing breakdancing last year and been loving it, I really like music and occasionally makes some beats with my friends as a pass time. I also love cooking, which I think is what France is most famous for, and I'd love to make you discover some of the recipes I know to try out! I have been once to America when I was very young, but don't remember it at all, which is why I'd love going back as an American student to rediscover it! I live with my two parents and used to live with my brother who is ten years older than me. My brother left the house to another city last year to start working on 3D. My mother is a tax lawyer who is very busy with work and my father is a tennis player who stopped working since a bit, he takes care of me, for example at lunch since I don't eat at the school. I'm very grateful for both of them. During the week, in addition to homework, I have extra activities like Breakdance, Trumpet and Badminton, on the weekend, we spend a lot of time with family. I often go to my grandma's house who lives near the sea. We also often go to the restaurant (we like brunches on Sunday morning) and go to the cinema or theatre. I sometimes, although rarely, bring friends over after school to play for a bit or just hang out. On the weekend, when we stay at home, we cook our own meals and watch a film on TV. During breaks, we often travel in Romania to see my other grandparents. Every year, we spend some time to go skiing, I always love it! This year, we went to China. During this trip to America, I'd love to change my habits a little, and discover new things, I love helping around, and also help with some things that are out of the ordinary, like cleaning boats or constructing, I sometimes help my mother with English. I'm used to the big city where I live, to the small farms and cities where my grandmas lives and to long travels in car, plane or train, but I prefer hiking.
