Dear host family: Thank you for being willing to welcome and accept me to live with you.
I am a boy who lives in Chile and I am in the first year of high school. I would like to do different things like learning about American culture and learning to speak English fluently.
I like to read fantasy books. I am a sociable, funny, kind and respectful person. I like sports but especially soccer and tennis. I only speak Spanish and I would like to speak English fluently.
I can play the guitar and I have been practicing it for three years. I would like to participate in some activity that is related to soccer or chess, which is what I practice competitively.
My father is a mining engineer and works in a mining company, my mother is an environmental engineer but she is dedicated to taking care of me and my sister, who is a year and a half younger than me and is in eighth grade.
In Chile the landscapes are very diverse, it has desert, mountains and glaciers, in our summer vacations we have visited some of these places. I would like to share my culture with my host family, and I would also like to introduce them to typical Chilean foods such as casseroles and others. One of the most important celebrations in our country is the celebration of September 18th, when the Fiestas Patrias are celebrated, so various activities are carried out to commemorate the country's independence.
Some of the activities that are carried out are: Going to the fondas where you can dance, eat, drink and play, fly kites, play traditional games such as the top, the emboque or the sack race.
In the future I would like to study something related to the scientific-mathematical area. I am very excited to be part of your family
Best regards,
Emilio
