LUCIA

's Letter

Hello! My name is Lucía, and I’m absolutely thrilled about the opportunity to join your family as a host student for a year! It feels a bit challenging to summarize who I am in a letter, but I’ll do my best to share a bit about myself and why I’m so excited for this experience. I’m an active, sporty, and adaptable person who truly enjoys being part of a team — whether that’s with my friends, my family, or in any group activity. Spending time with my friends is one of my favourite things to do. I love laughing, trying new things, and sharing our gossips together. I hope I’ll be able to do the same with you, creating amazing memories as part of your family. I’m passionate about sports and would be delighted to join you in any activities you enjoy. One of my biggest passions is horseback riding, which I’ve been doing for years. It’s an activity that challenges me to keep improving. I also enjoy playing basketball (I’m on my school’s varsity team) and trying out any kind of sport or outdoor activity. I’d be thrilled to join your family in whatever activities you enjoy. My friends and family often describe me as honest, kind, full of energy and easy-going girl. I adapt quickly to new situations, and I’ll always do my best to fit into your home and lifestyle. I’m also happy to help with anything you might need around the house, whether it’s helping with chores, preparing meals, or any small task. My goal is to make sure that hosting me is a positive and enjoyable experience for your family. One of the things I’m most looking forward to, is experiencing American traditions with you. From celebrating Christmas and Thanksgiving to enjoying a true American Halloween. I’m also excited about the idea of attending a high school there. Going to football games, trying out for school activities and, of course, attending school dances. These are all things I’ve only seen in movies, and it feels unrealistic that I’ll get to live them in real life! My biggest goal during this program is to make friends, connect with a new family and create memories that I could never experience back home in Spain. I truly hope we can share these adventures together. Thank you for considering me!
