Dear Host Family, first of all I would like to thank you for being willing to participate in the exchange program and for making my dream come true. My name is Justus and I would really like to become a part of your family. My own family consist of 5 people, my dad Sebastian, my mom Claudia, my older sister Hannah and my younger sister Emma. As you can see I’m used to living with siblings and enjoy having them but also wouldn’t mind being an only child for a while. Because both of my parents are working full time I am used to helping with chores around the house. We live in a bigger city in Germany but the size of your city is not at all important for me. My favorite subjects at school are P.E and English, I especially like speaking to different people in English class. Of course the recess times are usually fun as well. In my free time I like to spent time with my family or friends. With my friends we usually go spend some time downtown or play video games at one of our homes. With my family I like to watch movies or sometimes play board games. My biggest hobby is BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu). I practice multiple times per week at my local gym and have a lot of friends there I also attended BJJ tournaments at various levels, for example the European Championship in Romania this spring. BJJ is a really important part of my life which I hope to continue during my time at your family. In our family we do not have any pets but my uncle has a golden retriever named Buddy with whom I enjoy going for walks and have fun playing with. I don’t mind having other animals in the home. Unfortunately, I am allergic to cat hair and cannot be around cats for longer periods of time. I am looking forward to experiencing your family life, getting to know your hobbies, your favorite foods and activities that you like to do. Maybe I can even discover a new for myself.
