's Letter
Dear Host Family,
my name is Bela, and I am a student from Germany. First of all thank you for your willingness hosting an exchange student from Germany and hosting with "Ayusa". Since our vacation to the United States of America in 2016 my biggest wish is to spend my sophomore year there. I immediately liked the country and all its different cities and places, so I now would love to spend much more time there than just a few weeks. I am now looking for a host family, that would be willing to let me stay with them during the second year of high school, which would be starting in August or September 2025. I am very flexible and i like animals. I have two older sisters, so I'm experienced in having siblings. We also own a dog, so I also have experience with that. In my spare time, I enjoy swimming and playing tennis, in which I am both part of a team. In addition to that i often meet with friends, online or in person. i have a girlfriend and i very often meet with her. besides that i play the piano. On the weekend I like spending time with my family or meeting friends to hang out or do outdoor activities such as to walk or similar things.
Because I love sports, I would really appreciate it trying new sports during my exchange year, for example football or basketball. My entire family loves to travel and getting to know new countries and cities. We travel a lot, last summer we were in America and in the fall we went to Portugal. In school, I am very interested in chemistry, physics and English, because in English I don't only learn the language, I learn about different traditions and cultures. Furthermore, I get to know the world's language and now can communicate worldwide, but also understand many songs and books. While my year abroad, I could improve my skills and stabilize my speech.
I am really looking forward to meeting you and to coming to the United States very soon. In addition, I am curious what I will learn during that year, and I am very excited to meet you and spend half a year together.
Best regards,
Bela
