Dear host family, My name is Carlotta and I want to start by thanking you so much for the opportunity and experiences I will be able to live during my exchange year thanks to you. I can’t wait to start this journey because I enjoy travelling, discovering new cultures and meeting new people. My friends and my family would say that I am reliable, sociable and a good listener. I consider myself a very lucky girl because I have a group of friends with whom I get along very well. In our free time we like to go the movie theatre, or to the city center which is a very common thing that Italian teenagers do. In the city center, we usually go for a walk, we go shopping or we have dinner. We also attend the same school, so we often study together. But speaking of school... I enjoy studying and learning new things. I attend a high school that focuses on scientific subjects; I have always been passionate about subjects like chemistry, biology and physics. My future dream is to become a doctor, I do not know in what field I would like to specialize, but the world of medicine has always fascinated me. I enjoy studying and learning new things. My family is made up of 4 people: my mom and dad, with whom I have managed to establish a good relationship based on sincerity and trust, and my sweet little sister Giorgia that is 5 years younger than me. Although we are not the same age, we always find time to spend time together, talk, do homework together, and we can always confide in each other. When we have some free time we also like to go for a walk with our dog Lucky, a beautiful Alaskan Malamute that we love very much. During the summer and winter holidays, since I was very young, we have always gone on trips. I had the possibility to visit many beautiful places such as Finland, which is a breathtaking place, where there are beautiful views and the magical village of Santa Claus. My favorite place will always be Riccione, a seaside location where we spend some weeks every summer. I enjoy doing skin care and make up, and I like fashion. My biggest passion is playing soccer: I have played it for 4 years now and I’m part of a team. I have training three times a week and I have matches almost every weekend. I would say that my whole family enjoys practicing sports: for instance my sister does dance at a competitive level. Does your family like sports? I can’t wait to embark on this journey and make unforgettable memories with you and my future friends. I’m looking forward to building a strong relationship with you and doing many activities together. At first it might be a challenging experience because I will be far from my family, but I am confident that with your support I will be able to overcome any challenges.
