Dear host family:
First of all, I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to take part in your daily life; I am positive this year will allow me to get to know better about life in the United States and will also help you learn more about my culture.
I am a Spanish girl who is currently in 10th grade, and hopes to be able to apply for 11th grade in the US. I would define myself as an ambitious, spontaneous and open-minded girl, always willing to trying new things. One of the things I enjoy most is playing the piano: when I am practising, it feels like there is nothing around me, just me and the melody. I also like spending time with my friends, wether it is shopping or simply going for a walk: it clears my mind and offers me the opportunity to see them out of school.
When it comes to my family, I live with my parents and my brother. My father owns a electricity business and my mother works at home as a surveyor. My brother is called Claudio and is three years younger than me (7th grade). We, as a family, are very united and love to do things together, like traveling or going shopping.
Besides improving my english level, I also expect for this program to make new friends and and be able to experience a real american life. For school, I would like to focus on a more technological branch, due to the fact that it is what I want to study back when I return to Spain.
Last but not least, I would like to say that, even if you decide not to choose me, I still feel so grateful for even considering me. I hope I will take part in your family and unlock new memories with you.
Best wishes,
Inés.
