Dear Host Family, My name is S., and I live in a small village in the beautiful Dolomites in northern Italy. I feel lucky to live here because the mountains, forests, and lakes around my home are wonderful. I love spending time outside and exploring nature. Seasons here are special, and I enjoy the changes in the landscape, from the snow in winter to the green forests in summer. At home, there are four of us: me, my mom, my dad, and my older sister, S., who is 20 years old. She is currently studying at university, so we do not see each other often, but we talk on the phone and keep in touch by chatting. Even though she is far away, we are very close and always support each other. My parents, E. and C., are both 49 years old. They are very loving, and I know I can always rely on them. We spend a lot of time together, especially during family dinners. I love these moments because we talk about our day, laugh, and share stories. My family means the world to me, and I feel grateful to have such a strong and supportive relationship with them. I attend a language school, where I learn English, German, and Spanish. I truly enjoy studying languages because they help me understand other cultures and connect with people from different places. I believe learning languages will be essential for my future, and I am excited to keep improving my skills. I also volunteer in my village. I help organize games and activities for children, and it makes me feel happy to see them enjoying themselves and learning new things. When I am not studying, I enjoy spending time with my friends. We often take walks around the village or take short trips nearby to explore and discover new places. I also love playing volleyball, even though I have never taken a formal class. I play with my friends and at school, and I really enjoy the team spirit and the fun of the game. My daily routine is quite busy. I wake up early to catch the bus to school, which is about 45 minutes away from my village. On Mondays and Wednesdays, my school starts at 7:45 AM and finishes at 3:50 PM. On other days, I finish at 1 PM. After school, I have lunch, and then I usually study or do my homework. Sometimes I relax or spend time with my family and friends. In the evening, I like to stay in touch with my friends or relax by watching a movie. I usually go to bed around 10 PM to get enough sleep for the next day. I am very excited about the opportunity to live abroad because I believe it will help me grow as a person and a student. I am curious, friendly, and open-minded, and I love learning from others. I believe this experience will teach me a lot about different cultures and give me the chance to improve my language skills.
