Dear host family, I am Nicolás, but my friends call me Nico. I have always loved to travel and get to know new cultures. When I found out about this programme and the possibilily of living with a US family and doing a year in High School I ran to tell my mum and ask her if there was any way that I could do this. After looking into it, she said I could and I have been so happy ever since. I am a very sporty person who likes playing basketball and meeting new people. I am very open to trying new things and eating new foods. I have 3 little brothers (but I only live full time with one of them). This has helped me to handle better little children and be more patient. I consider myself to be a nice and loving person. I know that sometimes people don't like teenagers and I am so gratuful that you want to take me into your home. I am not normally moody, and if I am I try to change my attitude quickly and say sorry if this is needed. When I was 7 years old we moved to a different island, leaving my friends behind. I kept in contact with a boy in my old class called Alvaro. Every couple of months, I would go and stay with him and his family. His mother and father are so nice to me. I also get on well with his sister. I love playing video games with Alvaro and his dad and I always help his mother cooking. My mother does not cook a lot because she does not have a lot of time, so after training I sometimes make dinner. I love learning how to make some dishes from Alvaro's mum. All I can say to finish this letter is, I cannot wait to meet you.
