Dear host family, I am grateful for your willingness to participate in the exchange program and for welcoming me into your home. I am a Spanish girl who is studing high school. I love trying new things and I am eager to explore the world, including the United States. I want to learn about American culture that I have only seen on TV and I find it fascinating. Although I am sure I will improve my english a lot, being part of your daily life and experience a new culture is my main interest. In Spain I live with my family: mum, dad, two brothers and two cats. My dad is telecommunications engineer and works for a digital company. My mother is analyst of information in an energy company. My eldest brother is in the university and the other one is finishing de school, so he will start the university next year. My brothers have both a numerical mind, but I prefer the books and the letters, so I would like to become a lawyer in the future. My family is very traveler, so I have had the opportunity to travel abroad to many places like Norway, Egypt, South America... But my favourite trip has been to Egypt. I like to read and writes. Maybe I could be part of the school newspaper, that is something that doesn't exist in Spain but I find very attractive. I also practice sport. I am passionate about volleyball and have been playing it for many years. Although I didn’t make it to belong to the main team in my city last year, I continued to train hard and improve my skills. I also would like to try another sports, like cheerleader. I am proud of my Spanish heritage and would love to share the beauty of Spanish culture with you. I can teach you about our traditional festivals, such as, San Fermín, and Semana Santa and maybe cook some spanish dishes. Seeing the wonderful experiences of other exchange students has made me even more determined to go to America and learn about your culture. I am sure I will create amazing memories and take beautiful photos with you and my new friends in America. I am an outgoing, creative, and fun-loving person who enjoys meeting new people and making friends. I am excited to become a part of your family!
