Dear host family. I am Alvaro, a chilean boy, in this letter I will write about myself, my tastes and my life, so that you can get to know me. I am very excited to be a part of this experience and I want to thank you for accepting me into your family. First I will talk about my home, I live with my mother, my grandparents and my dog, in a city on the coast, we really enjoy traveling and seeing new places, we really like having movie nights on the weekends and we really like living near the beach because when we have free time we can go and do activities like a picnic, play card or just enjoy the sunset. An activity that I really enjoy is playing volleyball, this is my favorite sport, I have a group of friends on the team, and I love playing volleyball with them, the team is called Fenix team. Another sport that I like is skiing in the mountains, I ski with my dad and sometimes with my friends, I like this because the landscapes are very beautiful and it is a very adrenaline-inducing sport. At school, my favorite subject is biology, I really like studying the anatomy of the human body and nature, in the future I would like to study medicine and save the life of people and help them feel better. I have a group of friends at school, we really like doing activities like going to coffee shops, going to the beach and traveling, sometimes on vacations we travel to a very popular lake in my country and there we do other activities like ride a boat and sunbathe. An activity that I do every weeks is walking with my dog in the forest or in the park, I really enjoy these moments because are very relaxing. In general I enjoy listening to music, I listen to many singers from my country and some American singers like Charli XCX, Justin Bieber, Drake and Rihanna. I love clothes and shopping and I love making different outfits. Finally, I would like to be able to learn more about English in the United States because it is something that I also really enjoy practicing at my school. I would like to learn about the culture of the United States and life there. I would also like to make new friends and meet new people. I hope to be able to share and do all the activities I love with you, and learn new ones. Alvaro says goodbye.
