Leoncio

's Letter

Dear host family, My name is Leoncio, I am 15 years old and I live in Brazil with my father and mother. My sister is studying medicine in another city. I am a cheerful person who loves spending time with my family, doing fun things with them and friends. I am sociable, I like meeting new people, and playing sports. I am a Christian, I work hard, I study hard at school and always get good grades, and I am persistent in everything I do. I consider myself an organized person who can manage on my own. I want to have new experiences, immerse myself in a different culture, and I am willing to step out of my comfort zone. I am willing to participate in the family's routine and do their activities. I have a great relationship with my parents and we always spend time together, and what we like most is traveling the world. In the future, I want to work in the medical field, because my father and a large part of my family are doctors, so I have enjoyed this profession since I was born. My father owns part of a hospital, so I have always been there watching procedures because I love it and want to practice this profession in the future. My routine is from Monday to Friday. I wake up, have breakfast and go to school in the morning. When I get back, I have lunch and rest a little. In the afternoon, I go to the gym, take English and Spanish classes, and sometimes play sports. I have school classes in the afternoon twice a week. On the weekends, my parents always travel with me, and when I don't travel, I like to go out with my family and friends. I've always dreamed of visiting the United States, especially New York City. I've always wanted to ski. I like tourism and getting to know new places, such as countries, going to concerts, movies, and leisure activities. I'd like to have the experience of doing new things that aren't common in Brazil. If possible, I want to visit other places in the United States. I've always dreamed of doing an exchange program and I'm very happy about this opportunity because I think it will add a lot to me as a person and make me more independent. I've had this dream since I was a child, because I really like the United States and I want to have the experience of living and studying there, in addition to immersing myself in the language and getting to know new places and people. I would love to have the opportunity to travel to some of the places there and ski for the first time. I hope you enjoy having me in your home, I look forward to meeting you, thank you and see you soon!
