's Letter
Dear host family
My name is Aitana, I live with my mother Nidia, my little brother Joaquin and my grandmother Gloria, my parents are separated so I don't live with my father, but he still visits us almost every week. Despite everything, we are still a very close family in which we are always in contact or sharing moments together.
At first, I will probably be quiet or shy about my English, but once I gain confidence it will change a bit and I will be more relaxed. I consider myself a quiet person, I always try to think over conflicts when I have one and I don't like to be involved in problems, for that reason I also consider myself a responsible and sensible person. I like to have a balance between communication with my family and my personal space.
In my free time I like to listen music of all kinds such as Reggaeton, Trap, Rock, Indie, but mainly Pop. My favorite singer is Michael Jackson. I am usually reading books mainly romance, mystery or history. I love dance since I was toddler and I always try to learn new styles. I practice ballet between my 3 and 6 years old. I can dance Rock and Roll, Urban, a little Merengue and salsa. I like watching movies and series, especially comedy and drama.
Since I was child I have practiced different sports and activities, such as taekwondo, gymnastics, cheerleaders. Currently the sport that I practice most is fly fishing. I have been learning for 2 years because when I was younger I watched my dad do it and today I go fishing with him at least a couple of times each year. I really enjoy doing it because I see beautiful landscapes, I enjoy nature and I spend quality time with my father. Another sport that I do is skiing. I started learning when I was five years old by initiative of my parents and it is a sport that I really enjoy.
The reasons why I want to do this program is to learn and understand English better and also have more fluency when speaking it. Whenever I try to speak in English I try to find the perfect pronunciation and the right word, which in the end makes me confused or get tangled up in what I want to say. Another reason is that nowadays English is helpful to travel, study and work, so it would help me a lot to have this experience. Lastly, I think I will grow as a person and I will mature.
I hope you found it interesting
Best regards, Aitana
