Dear future host family, My name is Nelly. I am from Germany and my biggest dream is to live in the USA for one year. Now I tell some things about me. I live with my parents (mom and dad) and my younger brother in a house in a village, near a small town (five minutes with the car from our home to the small city). My brother still goes to school too and my parents working as a journeyman painter and varnisher (my dad) and my mom as a cleaning lady. Sometimes at the weekend, we spend time together and do family trips and go walking in the nature or drive to friends. Now I tell something about me. In my everyday life I also go to school. My favourite subject in school is English because I‘m really interested in this language. And I also like geography and PE. In PE I really like to play badminton. After school I help my mom in the household and clean the house or cooking. At the evening when the whole family come home from work we all eat dinner and talk about our day. I also like to visit my grandparents. I like to spending time with my grandparents. I spend spend time with my brother too, for example we drive with the bike together. I’m a person who loves to talk with people and especially when I meet nice persons and new friends. I like helping people, especially when they had some problems. I’m someone who really enjoys listen to them. I would say that I’m a calm and relaxed person but when I feel comfortable I am a very open person for everything. I also like to play with younger kids. I love meeting friends and hang out with them or for example go for a walk or eating something together like in a restaurant or baking and cooking together. At home I always like to help my mom around the house. I don‘t have any hobbies at the moment but I really like badminton. Where I‘m also interested in, is cheerleading but I‘ve never done this before. Another point is that I really like to go outside and see the nature or go shopping. In my free-time I also like to watch some Netflix series. And I also love pets like dogs or cats. Now, I always wanted to see the USA in real life. I’m looking forward to experience the American High School and the American way of life. During the exchange year in the US, I hope that I find a wonderful host family and that we get along really well. And of course I want to meet close friends.That’s a really important thing for me.I also want to improve my englisch because I really like the language and I‘m very interested to learn new languages. While I go to the High School I hope that I can choose some interesting subjects like astronomy or psychology. It would be great if I try something new while I’m in the US.
