Dear future host family, First of all, thank you for being so kind to welcome me into your family during my exchange year. My name is Johanna and finished my 10th year of High School. I would like to go to the United States for 10 months. I am truly excited about the opportunity to become a part of your family and to experience life in your community. First and foremost, I want to assure you that I am an open-minded and appreciative person. I always try do my best and won’t give up easily. I am eager to learn about your way of life, your culture, and your traditions. I believe that immersing myself in your daily routines and activities will not only enrich my experience but also deepen my understanding of the world around me. I also hope that I can show you something of my culture. My hobby is cheerleading. I started 5 years ago. I was on many competitions and we became 3 times national champions and one-time regional champion. As the best cheerleading teams are in the US, I would love to do cheerleading during my exchange year. I also enjoy horse riding which I have done for 5 years. I often meet with my friends in my free time and we go shopping or just talk. I also like to ride my bike. I got my driver’s license for my motor cycle last year. My father works as an electrician and my mother works in retail. Additionally I have an older sister who is currently studying Social Work. I am very much looking forward to meeting you.
