Dear host family, first of all, I would like to thank you for giving me a loving environment and home for these 10 months. My name is Clara, and I would say that I am a very happy and open-minded person. I like to make those around me laugh, and you can have a lot of fun with me. I am also easy to talk to because I am a very kind person, I am good at listening, and I enjoy helping people. I may be a little shy at the beginning, but that will pass quickly, and I hope I will feel very comfortable with you very quickly. I hope we will have a nice time together and have nice conversations. I live in a house with my parents Katrin and Maik, here I have my own room, which I furnished myself. I don't have any siblings, but I always wanted them. Would I have siblings when i am at your house? Unfortunately, I also don't have any pets because the space doesn't allow that. Do you have pets? Our family is very open-minded, friendly and kind. We spend a lot of time together. Every evening, we eat together and tell each other how our day was. How do you do that? We often have family dinners or family vacations with the whole family. We spend events like Christmas and New Year’s together with our whole family. How are you spending the holidays? I talk to my grandma and grandpa on the phone at least once every two weeks. During the holidays, I visit my grandma for at least a week and spend a good time with her. We go to the cinema or go to the zoo with my cousin. I have a little cousin which I love so much and wich I enjoy spending time with. I don't have a fixed hobby, but I have many interests, such as cooking, dancing, reading and going out with friends. In PE class at school, we played volleyball, which I really enjoyed.  I go on vacation with my parents once a year, for example, to Italy. Last year, we went to Italy with my best friend, and we were able to explore the city independently. This year we are going on a school trip to England and will also be staying with host families there, which will be good practice for my exchange year.  I am very happy and, above all, grateful that I can have this experience with you.
