Dear American Family,
Greetings! I am Amine, a 16-year-old student from Tunisia, excited about joining your family through the exchange program. Let me share more about who I am and what I value.
At home, It has almost became a family tradition to play games around dinner time to strengthen our relationships and create unbreakable bonds between each other . We usually turn a regular dinner into a spicy trivia game with questions on History and Geography.
Growing up with two older brothers, I learned the value of responsibility. Since my family is very keen on us learning the value of responsibility and its great consequences, my brothers took to their own hands to educate me alongside my parents and always made sure I was responsible until they were convinced. This led to me becoming the person I am today and I am always thankful for their unconditional love and great effort.
Academically, I'm enthusiastic about mathematics and computer science. Recently, I collaborated with friends to solve a challenging physics problem, finding both joy and reward in the process. Outside of academics, I find solace in playing the guitar and recently composed a piece to share a glimpse into my worlds through music. Chess for me is an awesome game as it had taught me valuable lessons in adaptability, strategic thinking, and the unpredictability of life.
Friendships play a vital role in my life. From profound discussions on scientific breakthroughs to intense chess matches coupled with friendly competitions when working out, my social circle is rich and varied. I've always tried to be a more sociable person ever since I was consumed by my phone a few years ago and I've become much more invested in finding out more about people and
connecting with them on a deeper level.
Describing my city is like a journey from the past to the present all the way to the future. Once in the middle of the city, you will see the simplest forms of life. People posted up in their shops working honestly to earn a day's worth of trouble and hard work. I've always admired these individuals substantially because of their honest smiles and kind words. Moving out of the center and onto the buildings where businessmen and other hard working individuals work. I've always believed this area to be the most boring as all of the routines are predictable and there is little to no animation whatsoever. The outskirts highlight what seems like, for me, the perfect life. The calm nature and the nice weather alongside the beautiful modern houses and sports cars is my dream place to be.
In your home, I believe that I will prove how independent I really am as well as showcasing my positive attitude, and eagerness to be a part of your family. Adapting to new environments is a strength of mine and I'm confident in seamlessly integrating into your family routine while sharing some of my traditions.
Beyond academics, I'm excited about the cultural exchange. It's not just about attending school in the U.S.; it's about becoming a part of your family, sharing stories, and creating lasting memories together. I aim to gain a broader perspective on academics and a deeper understanding of the American culture as well as talking to mentors and getting other people's point of views in the aim of either adapting my opinion and strengthening my debating skills
Thank you for considering me. I am genuinely looking forward to creating lasting memories
Cheers,
Amine
