Dear future host family, my Name is Marie and I live in Germany. First of all, I would like to thank you for considering me as a part of your family. I truly appreciate the opportunity to be welcomed into your home. When I have to describe me in 3 words I would say that I’m self confident, helpful and open to try out new things. My top 3 activities are athletics, Badminton and cooking or baking. My favorite cake to bake is an apple pie. What is your favorite thing to cook or bake? Why do I want to do an exchange year in America? I was definitely a Disney Channel kid. I really loved KC undercover, my sister Charlie,Jessie, Hannah Montana or Kim Possible. I really like Modern family too. Did you saw any of these shows too? So these are located in America and has to do with the American lifestyle and school. So I always wanted to experience that too. But unfortunately I was born in Germany where the school system and lifestyle is very different compared to the United States. Also I want to be more self employed and experience different cultures and make friends all over the world. About my living situation: I live with both of my parents and my little brother and with my grandparents in a house. I would love to have siblings, when they are younger than me I'm really open to babysit there at anytime. I really enjoy to babysit. Iv'e always done that for my little cousin and I did a student internship at the kindergarten. Which I really enjoyed too.But I also know that a family isn't all time perfect and fun. You know I have a little brother too, so I know how to get along with them. I also understand that it can sometimes be challenging, but I’m used to it and know how to handle it.I would love to help you in the household. Like to go grocery shopping, to load the dishwasher or to make dinner. All this I'm doing also at Home. With my Mom I always go on Thursday grocery shopping. On Friday or Saturday I cook dinner. Load and unload dishwasher whenever is need.To all of my family members I have very strong bond.I also love to travel with my parents in autumn, we are always going to the ocean like to Spain or to Italy. I really enjoy this because we live in an area of Germany is really far away from us so it makes me always so happy to go into the ocean.Because I really liked to swim. I joined a swim club for three years, but because of school I didn't had much time to continue doing that. Do you also love to travel or do you like it more to enjoy time at home? When I was younger me and my cousins were going on church camps because she is christian but I'm not. That was never a problem to me. At the age of fifteen I was with a friend of mine alone for one week nearby Hamburg on a campsite in a caravan. That was really fun. My parents really trust me and believe in me so they know that everything is going to be good. This year I did a youth trip to Spain, I really enjoyed that time too. I love to spend time with my family, like playing games or watch a movie, go for walk, make dinner together or go biking.I hope we can do this things together or things that your family really enjoys.
