Star Student Has Stellar First Month in Erie, CO

This month's Star Student of the Month has already made an impact on his host family, high school, and soccer team! Ayusa student Joshua from the Netherlands is living with the Wagnaar family in Erie, Colorado, who are "anticipating a great year with him."

Joshua has been busy experiencing many new things about life in America, from "sampling Jalapeno peppers, Mexican food, and eating at the Bagel Deli in Denver to experiencing the changing leaves in the Rockies" but has made a seamless connection with his family, especially his host brothers and sisters and pets.

Joshua has also made a big impact on his high school's soccer team, the Erie High School Tigers. It is the team's inaugural year and has had a stellar year so far, with help and teamwork from Joshua. He was named player of the week in September as well as lead the state in goals.

Congratulations Joshua on being selected as Star Student of the month!
