Star Student is Committed to Making the Most of Program

Our Star Student of the Month is Urooj from Pakistan! Nominated by her Cluster Leader, Joey Danielsen Adams, Urooj has been committed to being an ambassador for the YES program and has been active in sharing her exchange experience.

Urooj is so enthusiastic about everything and she appreciates this experience so much. What stands out to me is her commitment to being an ambassador for the YES program. Everyone in my group knows her. She is very outgoing and at this rate I am sure she is being a very effective ambassador for her country and the program.”

Urooj has also been active in her host community, talking with many local groups about Pakistan, the culture, traditions, and history, along with discussing the differences and similarities between the Christian and Muslim faiths.

On top of her active life in America, Urooj is also an active blogger! She shares her many new experiences and adventures with readers, including making traditional rice for her host family and visiting a local college in Minnesota!
